Tools4MSP Geoplatform - legacy/deprecated version

The new version of the Tools4MSP Geoplatform is now available at the following URL The use of the current site for the creation of new contents is now discouraged. However this site will continue to remain active and the resources (layers, maps, users) will continue to be accessible.

A multidisciplinary group of researchers, composed by policy experts, planners, ICZM-MSP experts, ecologists, socio-economists, data and GIS specialists, modellers and software engineers is collaborating in the advancement, improvement and use of the Geoplatform and its content, working together in various EU-funded projects and in the production of scientific outputs. They are interested in applied coastal and marine research in support of Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) in the Adriatic-Ionian Region (AIR) and the Mediterranean, international cooperation and knowledge exchange in MSP, and in contributing through sound MSP approaches to Blue Growth and regional development objectives (e.g. EU Strategy for the Adriatic Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and BLUEMED Initiative).

Several other Italian, EU and International Research Institutions and Administrations involved in past and ongoing projects (ADRIPLAN, RITMARE, SUPREME, SIMWESTMED, MUSES PORTODIMARE) have to be acknowledged for their important contributions since year 2013.

Among them, a specific mention is due to Regione Emilia-Romagna.
